Modalities

Helping your pet live its most comfortable life

Therapeutic Laser

Laser therapy uses different wavelengths of light to target damaged cells to help regenerate them faster. It is used to reduce inflammation, assist in wound healing, provide pain relief over arthritic joints, and speed up the recovery process after soft tissue injuries.

Hydrotherapy

Underwater treadmill therapy utilizes the buoyancy, resistance, and hydrostatic properties of water to promote an increased range of motion of the joints in a controlled environment. The buoyancy allows for an effective but low-impact workout. The water is kept warm, and massaging jets are utilized to promote muscle relaxation and pain management.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound provides thermal and non-thermal mechanical stimulation to promote tissue healing. It can improve mobility, promote soft tissue wellness, reduce scar tissue and enhance bone repair. Different sound heads are used to determine the depth of sound wave penetration and intensity can be adjusted depending on the tissue and condition being treated.

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation/TENS

Electrical Stimulation is the administration of an electrical current generated by a stimulator that travels through leads to electrodes that are placed on the skin. It depolarizes the motor nerve and produces a muscle contraction. Electrical stimulation is used to reduce pain, edema, and muscle spasms. It can also be used to assist in muscle re-education and improve range of motion.

Manual Therapies

Manual Therapy techniques include massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and soft tissue mobilization. The therapies help to improve range of motion, increase local circulation, reduce muscle spasms, and assist in a return to function after surgery or injury.

Customized Exercise Plan

Each patient and problem is unique and requires a customized exercise program to supplement the modalities being used during rehab sessions. Clients will be emailed an invitation to view their pet’s exercise plan, including demo videos.

Measuring/Fitting Assistive Devices

We have worked extensively with various assistive device companies such as Walkin’ Wheels, Therapaw, Eddies Wheels, Orthovet, etc, and will be able to measure and fit your pet for whatever device they need.
